SOME USEFUL ADVICE |
- Generally, prevention is better than cure.
- Keep yourself active! Swimming, cycling and walking are ideal forms of regular exercise.
- Always warm up and stretch before and after exercise.
- During repetitive tasks, vary your rhythm and take frequent breaks.
- When lifting, bend your legs and not your back!
- Pace yourself with heavy work e.g. heavy gardening – don’t risk a disc!
- During pregnancy, osteopathy can help your body adjust to the changes.
- Visit your osteopath for routine preventative treatment and advice – don’t wait until you are in pain!
