SOME USEFUL ADVICE
  • Generally, prevention is better than cure.
  • Keep yourself active! Swimming, cycling and walking are ideal forms of regular exercise.
  • Always warm up and stretch before and after exercise.
  • During repetitive tasks, vary your rhythm and take frequent breaks.
  • When lifting, bend your legs and not your back!
  • Pace yourself with heavy work e.g. heavy gardening – don’t risk a disc!
  • During pregnancy, osteopathy can help your body adjust to the changes.
  • Visit your osteopath for routine preventative treatment and advice – don’t wait until you are in pain!
